About the High-Tech Agenda Germany

In the summer of 2025, the German federal government adopted the High-Tech Agenda Germany (HTAD), which is intended to make a significant contribution to strengthening Germany’s capacity for innovation. The focus is on the further development of six Key Technologies and the promotion of five Strategic Research Fields. In addition, nine Levers are being used to specifically increase the innovation potential in these areas. These three pillars form the foundation for implementing the agenda.

PIER PLUS brings together the expertise of leading research institutions in Hamburg and highlights innovative projects that advance the future-oriented topics of Germany’s High-Tech Agenda and develop solutions to key challenges facing the economy and society.
