PIER PLUS showcases lighthouse projects from Hamburg that align with the key priorities of the High-Tech Agenda Germany.

PIER PLUS has launched a new website on the Hightech Agenda Germany. As a platform for collaboration and networking among Hamburg’s universities and research institutes, PIER PLUS showcases how Hamburg, with its strong research landscape, contributes to the federal government’s innovation agenda.

The new site highlights Hamburg’s contribution to the High-Tech Agenda Germany (HTAD) and presents lighthouse projects and research groups from the metropolitan region. It demonstrates how the PIER PLUS partners are pooling their expertise to develop solutions to key challenges in business and society and to actively help shape the future fields of the HTAD.

High-Tech Agenda Germany

The High-Tech Agenda Germany aims to strengthen Germany’s innovation capacity in a targeted way. It focuses on six key technologies and five strategic research fields, which form the foundation for implementing the agenda. These are complemented by nine so-called levers designed to further increase innovation potential in these areas.

With the new website, PIER PLUS emphasizes Hamburg’s role as a strong hub for research and innovation. It shows how closely science, networking, and knowledge transfer are interconnected in the metropolitan region to advance future-oriented topics together. The site is currently available in German only, with an English version to follow.
