In the eleventh round of Calls for Transfer (C4T), the additional funding line C4T PIER PLUS extends the funding horizon for the first time. 18 innovative projects from all state universities in Hamburg will be supported by C4T in their realization phase, including two PIER PLUS projects.
With the conclusion of Call 11, the "Calls for Transfer" (C4T) funding program has reached a new milestone: Call 11 was the most successful in the history of C4T - with 69 applications submitted, there was not only a record participation, but also an impressive range of ideas that impressively reflects the diversity and innovation potential of Hamburg's university landscape.
C4T is now supporting 18 innovative projects from all of Hamburg's state universities in their realization phase. Since 2018, Calls for Transfer has now funded a total of 164 transfer projects that strengthen the exchange between science, society and business and develop creative solutions for the challenges of our time.
Another innovation in this call was the introduction of the C4T PIER PLUS funding line, which provides targeted support for projects within the six PIER PLUS profiles. In this way, Calls for Transfer creates additional impetus for interdisciplinary exchange and strengthens strategic research topics that are of central importance for the future.
Two PIER PLUS projects will be funded:
- Instrument for the efficient generation of coherent extreme ultraviolet light for the characterization of lithographically printed circuits (Instrument für die effiziente Erzeugung von kohärentem Extrem-Ultraviolett Licht zur Charakterisierung lithographisch gedruckter Schaltkreise), C4T PIER PLUS, Prof. Dr. Markus Drescher (UHH)
- Developing climate-adapted urban green spaces for the future (Entwicklung klimaangepassten Stadtgrüns für die Zukunft), C4T PIER PLUS, Prof. Dr. Annette Eschenbach (UHH)
